Hello!

Welcome to the Nettlesome Life. I document my adventures in herbal soap making, growing food, foraging for wild edibles and making things by hand. Hope you have a nice stay!

Time in the studio: A soap-y update

Time in the studio: A soap-y update

May 20th I’ve signed up for big festival! I’ll be selling soap at the the Ogden Marathon Finish line Festival with a bunch of other local artisans and food vendors. I’m pretty excited as this will be one of the biggest festivals I’ve done so far. But that means I’ve had to make a lot of soap and a lot of wash cloths.

It’s been quite a while sense I’ve talked about soap! Or the business side of things. So I thought a fun way to do that would be a whole lot of picture of gorgeous soap!

Cutting soap into bars is one of my favorite parts about soap making. The moment you cut into the loaf the essential oils come wafting out in all it’s glory and you get they delicious experience of smelling the soap again for the first time.

Are you interested in seeing my soap making process? If you are leave a comment below letting me know. If there is enough interest I’ll do a soap making video.

These soaps will all be at the festival. And of course you can get your soap on the website if you can’t make it to the festival.
