Afternoon in the Studio
As a small one woman business, I have to balance work and homeschooling. So work often comes after our schooling hours are over. This particular afternoon I was working on labeling soaps and creating sampler kits.
I love choosing fun handmade papers to wrap each soap bar in. The packaging can and should be recycled or composted. I encourage you not to just throw out the wrappings!
These sampler kits will be available soon, in the shop or at the farmers market in the fall. The sample kits are one small slice of each soap available in the shop.
The nature of a handcrafted business can be fast sometimes and very slow at others. I like the ebb and flow of the work. Afternoons cutting soap are easy and fun. Making labels on the computer is time consuming but rewarding. Soon it will be time to make more batches of soap and then there will be frenzy of work!
How do you all spend your afternoons?
