Hello!

Welcome to the Nettlesome Life. I document my adventures in herbal soap making, growing food, foraging for wild edibles and making things by hand. Hope you have a nice stay!

A Soap for Spring!

A Soap for Spring!

Spring is just around the corner! The magnolia in the yard next to mine already has buds ready to burst open. There is still a good two feet of snow on the ground, but the temperatures are quickly warming and we are about to get rain. That always wakes up all the plants!

Spring is a great time to wake up your skin too. If you have been looking for an unscented soap that is soothing to dry irritated skin, try the new “Sunny Meadow”!

I’ve infused this soap with calendula and chamomile along with a good serving of ground oats for exfoliation. The mixture of chamomile and oats gives this soap a warm honey like scent, but otherwise it’s unscented and very mild. Great for anyone who is sensitive to strong perfumes.

This soap is currently available in the shop! It’s a small special batch so get yours while they last.
